💥New AirTag feature makes travel easier: here’s how it works💥

👍Travel season is in full swing, and Apple’s latest AirTag update is a game-changer for keeping tabs on your luggage. Introduced in iOS 18.2, the “Share Item Location” feature lets you quickly recover lost bags. Here’s a simple guide to how it works and why it’s great for your next trip.AirTags are a popular way to track luggage, as airlines sometimes misplace bags.

This new feature makes things easier by letting you share your AirTag’s location with someone else, like an airline, for a short time. Apple has partnered with airlines to integrate this into their customer service systems. If your bag goes missing, you can create a link in the Find My app that shows its real-time location on a map.

You share this link with the airline, and they can use it to find your bag faster. To use it, open the Find My app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, select your AirTag, and generate a shareable link. Each airline has its own way to accept the link, often through their app or customer service.

Major U.S. airlines like American, United, and Delta support this, along with others like JetBlue. The link is secure, encrypted, and stops working after you get your bag back or after seven days.
