✴🍎Apple releases third beta updates
✴️Apple releases third beta updates for iOS 26, iPadOS 26, visionOS 26, macOS Tahoe, and watchOS 26 ✴️
🍎Apple has rolled out the third beta versions of iOS 26, macOS Tahoe 26, and watchOS 26 to developers for testing. These updates, released on July 7, 2025, come two weeks after the second betas and are available through the Settings app on compatible devices. However, a bug is currently preventing Apple silicon Macs from downloading the macOS Tahoe beta, though Intel-based Macs are unaffected.
Apple is expected to fix this issue soon. The updates feature Apple’s new Liquid Glass design, which brings a sleek, translucent look to interfaces across iOS, macOS, and watchOS. This design, inspired by visionOS, emphasizes rounded corners and a glass-like aesthetic for app icons, menus, and controls.
In iOS 26 beta 3, Apple has toned down the Liquid Glass effect to improve readability and usability, making elements like Control Center buttons slightly more opaque for better clarity on varied backgrounds. New additions include the Phone and Journal apps on macOS, a cross-platform Games app, and an enhanced Spotlight for performing tasks like sending emails without opening apps.
iOS and iPadOS 26 also introduce better multitasking and Apple Intelligence features. watchOS 26 adds a Workout Buddy for motivation and a Notes app. These betas are developer-only for now, with public betas expected soon and a full release planned for fall 2025.
