๐Ÿ‘Apple’s iOS 26 update brings a handy new feature called Captive Assist, making it simpler to connect to public Wi-Fi networks. Spotted by MacRumors in the iOS 26 beta, this tool syncs login details across your Apple devices, so you only need to sign in once. Whether you’re at a hotel, airport, or cafรฉ, Captive Assist saves time by sharing Wi-Fi login info between your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

When you log into a public Wi-Fi network that requires a form, like entering a password or access code, your iPhone can store those details. Other devices, like your iPad, will then show an “Autofill” option, pulling the login info from the first device. For example, signing into a hotel’s Wi-Fi on your iPhone lets your iPad connect without re-entering the same details.

This feature, also expected in iPadOS 26 and macOS Tahoe, makes connecting multiple devices to public networks quick and hassle-free.Captive Assist isn’t fully active yet but should be ready when iOS 26 launches this fall for iPhone 11 and newer models.

This update is part of Apple’s effort to streamline everyday tasks, ensuring a smoother experience across its ecosystem. If you’re tired of repeatedly logging into Wi-Fi at public spots, Captive Assist will be a game-changer.๐Ÿ’ฏ
